Powered by an Arm Cortex-A7 processor with 256 MB Flash memory and 256 MB DDR3 SDRAM, the PD45S offers fast processing speeds and dependable operation for high-volume labeling applications. The printer supports both direct thermal and thermal transfer printing, giving users the flexibility to print temporary shipping labels or durable long-term product identification labels.

The PD45S features a user-friendly color graphical display that simplifies setup, configuration, and printer management. Honeywell's dual-sensor positioning technology helps ensure precise label placement, supporting label heights as small as 5 mm while maintaining exceptional print accuracy.

With print speeds up to 10 inches per second and support for media widths up to 4.5 inches, the PD45S is ideal for shipping labels, inventory labels, product identification labels, compliance labels, barcode labels, and asset-tracking applications. The printer accommodates large 8-inch media rolls and ribbons up to 450 meters long, reducing downtime caused by media changes.

Connectivity options include USB, RS-232 serial, and Ethernet TCP/IP, allowing seamless integration with ERP systems, warehouse management software, shipping platforms, SAP environments, Oracle WMS, and industrial automation systems. Optional wireless networking and additional communication modules are also available.

The PD45S supports multiple printer languages including FP, DP, IPL, ZPL, DPL, PDF, and XML-based printing environments, making migration from existing printer fleets simple and cost-effective.
