At the heart of the 1280 Enterprise Series is a vibrant color touchscreen with an intuitive graphical user interface that allows operators to customize screens, icons, softkeys, and workflows. The system includes both touchscreen operation and a tactile keypad for numeric entry, scale functions, and navigation. Multi-language support and an on-screen keyboard make the indicator suitable for diverse industrial environments and global installations.

The 1280 supports up to eight scales simultaneously and can manage multiple weighing technologies, including analog load cells, scale summing applications, serial input scales, iQUBE® digital systems, and programmable scale configurations. This flexibility makes it ideal for complex industrial processes requiring centralized monitoring and control of multiple weighing points.

Built-in iRite™ Programming Software provides extensive customization capabilities, allowing users to create application-specific programs without additional hardware. The system includes five standard applications: Truck In/Out, recipe storage, filling and dosing, counting, and checkweighing. Users can also create custom event-driven programs using more than 150 built-in functions for process automation, data management, and reporting.

For communication and integration, the 1280 offers Ethernet TCP/IP, USB, Wi-Fi Direct®, email capability, RS-232, and RS-485 connectivity. A built-in web server enables remote monitoring, data access, diagnostics, and system management from network-connected devices. Data can be transferred to printers, PCs, FTP servers, and enterprise systems, making the indicator an excellent solution for Industry 4.0 environments.

The modular architecture includes six expansion slots that support additional scale channels, digital I/O, analog outputs, relay cards, serial communications, and industrial fieldbus interfaces. This allows users to customize the indicator for specific applications while preserving future upgrade capabilities. The system also supports up to 100 setpoints and 18 configurable setpoint types for advanced control operations.

Available in universal, panel-mount, wall-mount, and touch-only display configurations, the 1280 can be integrated into virtually any industrial weighing system. Display options include standard 7-inch screens, high-brightness outdoor displays, and large-format 12-inch touchscreens for enhanced visibility and operator interaction.
