One of the key strengths of the 720i is its advanced process control capability. The built-in ProAction® Process Control Engine allows users to define conditions and actions for automated workflows. Combined with up to 32 programmable setpoints and 26 configurable setpoint types, the indicator can efficiently manage batching, filling, dispensing, material handling, and production control applications. The standard batch engine supports automated formulation and ingredient management while improving process consistency and accuracy.

For truck scale operations, the 720i offers dedicated Truck In/Out functionality with memory for up to 1,000 vehicle IDs in PCE software versions. This capability simplifies vehicle weighing transactions, maintains transaction records, and improves operational efficiency at shipping, receiving, and logistics facilities. Audit trail tracking and alibi storage further support accountability and regulatory compliance requirements.

Communication and connectivity are extensive, with dual full-duplex serial ports, optional Ethernet, USB, and fiber-optic interfaces, plus support for remote displays and networking applications. Eight onboard digital I/O channels are expandable for greater process control flexibility. The 720i also supports local/remote operation, allowing multiple indicators to display and manage the same weighing data simultaneously.

Built with a rugged stainless-steel NEMA Type 4X/IP66 enclosure, the 720i is designed to withstand demanding industrial environments where dust, moisture, and washdown conditions are common.
