The Rice Lake JB8SPT TuffSeal® Signal Trim Junction Box is a heavy-duty industrial junction box engineered for demanding truck scale, livestock scale, and railroad scale applications. Designed to provide superior protection for load cell wiring and sensitive weighing electronics, the JB8SPT combines advanced signal management with built-in transient protection for reliable performance in harsh outdoor environments.

Capable of accommodating two, four, six, or eight single load cells, the JB8SPT features individual cell and section signal trim capabilities that allow technicians to precisely balance load cell outputs for maximum weighing accuracy. The integrated expansion port enables additional junction boxes to be connected when larger weighing systems require more than eight load cells.

Unlike standard junction boxes, the JB8SPT includes transient protection specifically designed to help protect load cells and weighing electronics from lightning strikes, power surges, and other electrical disturbances common in outdoor installations. The transient protection board is field replaceable, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.

The rugged NEMA Type 4X enclosure protects internal circuitry from moisture, dust, corrosion, and harsh weather conditions. Combined with a conformal-coated circuit board and Rice Lake's PreVent™ breather vent technology, the JB8SPT helps prevent condensation and pressure buildup caused by temperature fluctuations, extending component life and improving reliability.

Removable load cell connectors and pluggable screw terminals simplify installation and servicing, while the durable construction makes the JB8SPT ideal for long-term use in demanding industrial environments.
