The Rice Lake SURVIVOR® SST4® Washdown Label Printer is a heavy-duty industrial printer engineered specifically for demanding washdown environments where standard printers cannot survive. Featuring an IP69K-rated 304 stainless steel enclosure, the SST4 provides exceptional protection against water, moisture, dust, and high-pressure washdown procedures commonly found in food processing, meat packing, poultry production, dairy operations, and chemical processing facilities.
Built for reliability and performance, the SST4 utilizes direct thermal printing technology with a high-quality 203 dpi printhead to produce clear labels, barcodes, tags, and identification markings. With print speeds up to 10 inches per second, the printer efficiently handles high-volume industrial labeling applications.
The printer supports a wide variety of media including roll-fed labels, die-cut labels, continuous labels, tags, and ticket stock. It also accommodates label widths up to 4.09 inches and print lengths up to 99 inches, providing flexibility for numerous industrial labeling requirements.
For seamless integration into production environments, the SST4 includes USB, RS-232 serial, and Ethernet TCP/IP communications, allowing easy connection to weighing indicators, production systems, and network infrastructure. The built-in real-time clock and label-length detection improve operational efficiency and printing accuracy.
The SST4 supports an extensive range of barcode formats, including Code 128, UPC, EAN, GS1 DataBar, QR Code, DataMatrix, PDF417, Micro QR, Aztec, and many others, making it suitable for inventory management, product traceability, shipping, logistics, and regulatory compliance applications.
Optional upgrades include thermal transfer printing, internal heaters for cold environments, wireless LAN (802.11 b/g/n), external label roll holders, external rewinders, and factory-installed label dispensing systems, allowing the printer to be customized for specific operational requirements.
